Pain Is Real – a poem about…….

Pain is always real
Buried deep into our bones
Leaving us in this life of nothing
Tired of this old thing, so I find a vein,
Pain is real.
Tired of everything, feel it quickening,
Life begins to blur.
Pain is real.

Get the fuck out of my head
Stop playing around as if you’re God
Even then you were never holy
I still recoil in a ball of hurt
at the sheer thought of you
I’m choking on the hate-filled bile
forever tortured by the memories
that crawl upon my skin.

I am something you cannot kill
As I begin to expose your lies
You tried to make me your broken doll
Playing with me for hours
Satisfying your sordid desires
I’m nothing a chemical can’t fix
Penetrating deeply within my veins
Until I can no longer see your face.

Pain is always real
Buried deep into our bones
Leaving us in this life of nothing
Tired of this old thing, so I find a vein,
Pain is real
Tired of everything, feel it quickening,
Life begins to blur
Pain is real
